The new offerings include the COM Express® Compact Type 6 with COMe-cAS6, the COM Express® Mini Type 10 with COMe-mAS10 and the SMARC module with SMARC-sXAS. Each of the modules supports the extensive scalability of the Intel Atom® x7000E/x7000RE series, the Intel® Processor N series and the Intel® Core™ i3-N305 processor, all designed for IoT applications. The products range from energy-efficient dual-core models to powerful 8-core Intel® Core™ i3 solutions with clock frequencies of up to 3.8 GHz.
Cutting-edge performance features
With the latest Intel® AVX2 and Intel® Deep Learning Boost technologies and up to 32 Execution Units (EUs) across all three modules, deep learning conferences and media processing are accelerated. The Intel® Atom® processors of the x7000RE series and the Intel® Core™ i3 processor with up to eight cores in combination with DDR5/LPDDR5 memory support and extended I/Os provide a significant performance boost compared to previous generations. Innovative IoT enhancements introduce key features such as hardware virtualisation, multi-OS support, Intel® Time Coordinated Computing (Intel® TCC) and 2.5GbE Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), enabling real-time computing capabilities.
Versatile offerings
The COMe-cAS6 has up to 16 GB DDR5-4800 memory, support for multiple displays, PCIe 3.0 lanes and versatile connectivity options. Meanwhile, the is a space-saving solution with LPDDR5-4800 memory down, PCIe lanes, USB interfaces and onboard eMMC storage. The SMARC-sXAS, designed for low profile applications, offers LPDDR5-4800 memory, USB ports, SATA connectivity and multiple Ethernet options.
Robust applications and industrial reliability
This new generation is characterised by high performance and energy efficiency, making it ideal for fanless, rugged and industrial environments. Applications range from IoT gateways and control computers to rugged mobile devices and digital signage solutions. Thanks to industrial-grade designs, operating temperatures from -40 to +85 °C, in-band ECC memory and long-term availability, reliability is guaranteed, especially for applications in the logistics and transport sectors. Supported operating systems include Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Linux.
